Hello and well met, neighbor! The BDaB crew returns with the second episode of the new and ongoing Tales from the Loop RPG actual play campaign. BDaB Plays: Tales From the Loop, Part 1 – “Speaky Squeaky”

We’re finally proud to present to you the first extended play session of our brand new Tales from the Loop campaign! In this ongoing adventure, we will be playing through the brand spanking new Out of Time adventure series, which was released as an early bonus to the backers of Free League’s recent Kickstarter for the game’s follow-up campaign, Things from the Flood. Inspired by the artwork of Simon Stålenhag, the works of Steven King, and more than a little Stranger Things throw into the mix, Tales from the Loop takes us to a 1980s that never was, filled with weird robots, mysterious plots, and the bizarre side effects of living in a town with a state of the art particle accelerator. So join us for an advance look into the new book, and stick around for the sometimes-deep but often-hilarious adventures in our own techno-magical version of Klamath Falls Oregon, 1986.

BDaB Patron Exclusive #1: Tales from the Loop Campaign Session Zero!

Back when JJ, DXG, and I started this variety show project, one of the ideas that we had for filling time after recording an episode was to keep drinking while trying to make characters for the many different RPGs sitting on my gaming shelf. We called these “Character Jams” and they started pretty early on in our show. While we’ve had a blast each time we’ve recorded one of these Jams, and occasionally joked about how fun a campaign with the characters would be, we never had actual intentions of taking them any further than the char-gen process. After all, there are so many games to jam on, and we wanna get to all of them someday, right?

HAMMERCRAWL! Dungeon Full of Monsters Part 1: That Garlic-Flesh Smell

Welcome to the beginning of a whole new adventure on the HAMMERCRAWL! comedic dungeon crawl podcast! As always, every aspect of our play is randomly generated via a mix of random tables, inspirational cards, and pure unfiltered improvisation. This time, however, we’re changing things up a bit by taking a stab at an actual published dungeon: the excellent DUNGEON FULL OF MONSTERS by Johnstone Metzger! This dungeon is a perfect component for HAMMERCRAWL!-style gaming, as the entire structure and flow of it is driven by its own random tables, right down to how the very dungeon rooms are assembled.

All the while, we drink delicious and cooling Gin and Tonics, perfect for the current wave of hot summer weather.

HAMMERCRAWL! Gamestorm 2019, Part 3: Feelings are Healthy

The Gamestorm 2019 live event recording now concludes in the third and final part of this saga. This three-parter was recorded at the Gamestorm convention this past March, right here in Portland, Oregon. As with all of our convention and one-shot gaming events, this game was played “hot seat” style, with new players rotating in every time a party member died in the dungeon. It’s always a roaring good time, and this event was no exception! So we hope you enjoy yet another delve into the randomly-generated insanity of HAMMERCRAWL!
