Breakfast Puppies Notes: This mixer has been the crucial core component of our studio for some time now. We needed an audio interface that could send a minimum of 6 XLR tracks into our DAW (Reaper) as separate tracks. The five (or six, if you get clever) separate built-in headphone jacks (with individual amps!) allowed us to also remove the need for having an additional headphone splitter on the table. The fact that it could simultaneosly record locally and send the tracks to the DAW was icing on the cake, making for easy and reliable backups of every session (and oh so valuable peace of mind). We’re now using it for multi-source mix-minus and simulcasting as well, making this an invaluable component for both studio shows, online sessions, and live performances on the road.
