It’s the long awaited “Whiskey with Matt Buckley” bonus episode! Back in September, NPC, Poppy, Dr. Gerrymander, and Just Jacob sat down at 4K Ranch for a special curated tour of Matt’s stunning Irish Whiskey collection (after a fun day of eating, exploring, and shooting). Matt is one of the co-founders of the amazing Wagoncon gaming convention here in the Columbia Gorge, and as part of this episode we dig a bit deeper into the roots of the con, and what lies in its future. Matt then educates the crew about the wonders and history of The Water of Life, all the while plying them with a series of incredible distilled spirits. We hear how someone with a severe allergy to alcohol ends up having a collection of the finest product of Ireland.
Hello cartographers! I’m looking for someone who would be interesting in becoming the official map-maker for a very special project. As some of you may already know, I have been running irreverent randomly-generated tournament-style RPG crawls for most of the past decade at local cons, using a self-assembled process I call “HAMMERCRAWL!”, and it has since morphed into both an ongoing actual play podcast and a live stage show at a local convention.
Welcome back to the show, folks. This episode is all about promoting Accessibility in our favorite hobbies! Poppy (your favorite local Wannabe Wine Snob) brings our drinks of the evening, which are both the White and Red Winemaker’s Cut wines from Copa di Vino, a winemaker we’ve mentioned before in previous episodes. In our Bike segment, we talk about a variety of options available to make motorbiking and bicycling more accessible to those with physical discomfort, limitations, and disabilities. We carry that subject forward into our Gaming segment, discussing a variety of approaches that modern game-makers have taken to make their games more accessible. And again in our Bars segment, we keep the conversation going, discussing how accessibility can inform your approach to getting a good drink in town, as well as the choices you make when working behind the bar.
With this episode we conclude the first adventure of the Wolves of Zaramund! We open with more in-character discussion of future plans, and further preparation for the next dungeon. Stick around for a great post-mortem discussion on the events thus far, and the players’ experiences with the HAMMERCRAWL! method of role-playing. Thanks for listening, everyone!
In the tenth episode of this saga, we deal with some post-dungeon, in-town miscellany. There’s a lot of rules stuff here, but it’s mixed in with a great amount of sweet character development, too. So hang around and get a deeper feel for how some of the background stuff works, and listen to the ongoing comedy! Oh, and meet the newest recruit to the Wolves, too!
In the ninth episode of their ongoing saga, the Wolves of Zaramund face dangerous creepy-crawlies deep within THE BLACK LAIR OF THE VAMPIRE COUNT!
The story of the Wolves of Zaramund continues! In this episode, we welcome the newest team member, who may or may not be a real doctor. Blessings of Fairuza all around for those who dare venture deeper into THE BLACK LAIR OF THE VAMPIRE COUNT!
In our latest episode of the ongoing delve into THE BLACK LAIR OF THE VAMPIRE COUNT, the Wolves of Zaramund learn a hard lesson about disrespecting undead hippy drum circles!
High fives all around, it’s the Wolves of Zaramund! In our sixth episode of their first adventure, they continue further into the dungeon, encountering wandering monsters, hippy drum circles, and more!
The Wolves of Zaramund are back, continuing their delve into THE BLACK LAIR OF THE VAMPIRE COUNT! In this fifth episode of their ongoing saga, the Wolves take a bit too much delight in “utilizing” the innards of their first dungeon victims…
